Still not sure where that extra cq pump is at man. We cleaned the garage out today and didn't find it. I'm hoping we didn't trash it.

No prob, thanks for the update. I'm sure someone has one! (or at least a measurement)

What do you need for the PS pump? I'm too lazy to go back and look. I have a 20v and 20vt pumps under the bench.

Well, I need a solution for a shorter ps pump up front. I also need to retain two stages for the ps and for the brake assist. From what I understand, the smaller pumps only have one stage and the same goes for the electric pumps.
Seems to me that there are a few possible solutions. Use a single stage mechanical up front for brakes and an electric remotely mounted for steering, or just figure out a new mounting location for the large chassis pump. I can't put it where the ac comp is because I intend to use that space for dry sump (or to keep the ac I guess). I would love to figure out a way to mount the mechanical ps pump in a better location, but I don't have the time or the welder required to do it at the moment.

Well if you need a pump, or any of the bracketry from the 20v motors. I have some good ones. Also if you need measurements I'll pm you my phone number and can take them for you.

OK that would be great. I really don't have access to the car right now, so it is a little difficult for me to assess what brackets may or may not work, but I think the small pump for the ps and vac assist would be another good option for sure. Can anyone tell me what it might take to put the smaller pump on a 20v large chassis application?
Tim, I know nothing of what it takes to run the vac booster setup... can you provide a few more details?

Did the 100s have hydro assist? If they were vacume, you would just use the vac assist system from them and end up with great brakes, and 30 less pounds of complexity and potential pentosin arteries

I'm just kinda worried about having any room for that... no idea how big the thing is.

Nope, 12v 100/a6 are vacuum assist.

It's about the same size as an AAN pump, slightly smaller.

Room for the vac assist stuff I mean...

Chris, I met a guy last year who swapped the vac assist from a 100 directly into his 200. He had to use the mc, booster, and the pedal assembly. It will work but I don't have all of the details..

So this is a v6 100 or a t44 type 100? (a-la 5kq, etc.)
By direct swap you mean nothing has to be modified if you use all of those parts.

I don't believe any t44 100's came with vacuum brakes. I'd imagine it'd from a c4.

Yes i believe it was all from the C4 chassis. Haven't seen the guy since he came and bought a motor from me or I would find out more.. C4 chassis stuff should work though, I used the S4 brake booster and master in my type44, everything bolted right in.

Awesome, I see those in the junkyard all the time. So pedals, brake booster, and mc?

You may be ble to direct swap the booster and leave the pedals intact..

Yeah, that has come up in convo recently. Apparently the 80,90, and 100 all use the same setup. I could use parts from any of those cars. I may however just do a single, remote ps pump. I have heard of some autocross cars just using a big single ps pump for brakes and steering. Its all still up in the air!

You'll want a pump from a V6 car as it has the correct mounting bosses for the p/s bracket. And you may need/want to use a 7A p/s pump bracket.

Could you fit the servo system from an UrS? All hydraulic. No vacuum booster. Power steering and power brakes run off one pump.

Yeah, that is how the 200 pump works too. No room for it though.

So I'm kinda leaning towards dual pumps... it would be sweet to have the steering adjust-ability if I make a controller for an MR2 pump. I'm thinking I could use an MR2 for the steering and maybe a small chassis pump for the brakes. The only thing stopping me from this is I'm not sure whether a small chassis pump would provide too much pressure for the hydro assist? Anyone have any idea of what the operating pressures are or how they are restricted (or not) in the stock 200 pump and at the hydro assist, and in the small chassis pump.

So did you confirm that the newer 7a or C4 pump would not work? The deepest point is near the center of runner 1. Does your plenum go straight down a bunch?
