It's amazing how much the old valve cover gaskets harden up over time. Putting on the new one is sweet.

Looking clean! Nothing like cleaning up a filthy greasy bay after years of awesome stuff has caked in to every single crack and crease of it huh?

Looking good.

At least your bay paint stayed white. Mines got a yellow tint to it for some reason.

I had some of that too - had to scrub like mad with simple green and the scotch brite-ish side of a dish sponge to get it to come off

Wesly's white wall cleaner works wonders for stained white paint

I'll hopefully have a real one soon - I sold the A6 last night so that nightmare/love story is over with and I can get back to the audi that matters :D

I also sold the dirt bike and motorcycle so I have minimal distractions now! Just a daily driver and a 200 that's gonna get some lovin'

With my recent layoff, I'm forced to move out of my living space in NY and must move everything back to home base in Vermont - and so the 200 moves for the first time since September!

Where it had been hibernating...

damn..I need 20v front fenders and to flare my rears so I can get Larger, wider tires under my car....

that car has an awesome stance.

thanks!! it just looks really low because I packed the trunk and back seat full of stuff :-D and there's no motor in the front and so i blame the wheel gap on that!

i've been tossing the idea around to graft the V8 arches on some day.... i just keep thinking about that with the V8 bumper I already have on it with some wider tires but same wheels... yea, i want it baaaaaad

Yeah...I've been having dreams of V8 fenders. Actually, if I was going to go to that extreme I'd just go even wider.

This has been my motivation lately...especially to get my front lower. Let me know if you want a set of the spacers I'm making once I figure them out ;)

UPDATE TIME!

Since moving the 'ol girl back to Burlington,VT, I've taken a job in White Plains, NY and taken residence in Pleasantville, NY. The 200 didn't come with me and so it remains dormant in VT. Recognizing that an all out build is not logical or responsible while saving for a wedding and paying for my own place to live, I've decided to recommission the Audi.

The plan is to build the bottom end with new bearings/seals and forged rods with the compression dropping HG installed with APR hardware. Everything else will go back on as stock minus an uprated clutch and rebuilt steering rack. This way I can rid myself of the Cooper's car payment and higher insurance, and enjoy my 200 once again. I'll then begin to save more money each month and work on the 200 as time permits instead of it living in storage. Thoughts? Concerns?

Anyone have a flywheel trigger for a 3B? Mine is a little beat up and I'm not sure it'll work again

All in all I'm just happy to be employed again!

Is there anyone near the NYC/Westchester area?
