Torsen is fine until you lift a wheel as you know
I will be interested to see what you think of the torsen up front. I have heard that it can induce understeer and torque steer vs the open diff. Stasis on their race cars tried but stayed open in the end I believe.
Cooling the trans is a good Idea for road race use.

Yeah, it will be interesting Haydn. Where you planning on using the wavetrac in the front or rear of your projects? I would love to try one in the rear but 1300$ is a bit spendy for me. On other forums, they do group buys with 20 people to get the price down to 995$. I say we organize one!!!
I will give good feedback on it. I have a couple of spring track days planned and maybe a Miller day if I can get the trans in and to the dyno. I want to play around with some pickup points on the trailing arms and control arms to see if I can develop less lift and squat under acceleration and braking..

Anybody think a triple torsen drivertrain is a bad idea?

Really, you really went there? Prepare for page 200 coming soon

Hard to believe you only ever did 8 passes...but ok, and how many broken parts did you endure in 2 miles? Drag racing was invented for muscle cars, because they couldn't turn.

I think there were plenty of broken parts from launching on the street too... and on the track while going 'round corners lol

I have never been at an open track day for the drag strip. I catch these lame "midnight" drags that allow for 3 passes on a crappy track on a good night. I have only ever been to 3 of them in my life!!! 8-9 passes is pretty accurate!!!
I have launched on the street a few hundred times though!!! It is pretty hard on axles and tranmissions for sure!! This narrow 5 speed I pulled apart last night was beat... poor thing

The Torsen arguments of not one but three Torsen diffs. Glad to see you have a good trans, btw that would fit in an avant.

ummmmm.... maybe invented.... now adapted.
and a 1/4mile pass = >1 mile of driving

the trans would see the same abuse on the street, especially by a terror like Hank.

Well, I thought I had an HTA 3794r secured from a guy out east. Sent paypal, got tracking and then got the tracking number canceled and a full refund because he got a better offer on the way to the post office :(

Isnt that the turbo the Evo guys swear by?
I am sure you can get one for the right price on one of there forums.

Several Evo guys have touched 900whp with them on exotic fuels. The turbine is a little small, but they spool just 500rpm later than an hta3582r. It would have been a wicked turbo for my setup. My eyes are still peeled for one, but it is kindof a rare turbo. I may end up getting one new in the end.

New Retail is 1900$ but used is hard to find for under 1500$. I had a deal at 1200$ but someone offered the guy 1500$ at the last minute. The Evo guys run them with .82 housings to get those 900whp figures. Several cars dipping into the 8s stripped out on that turbo.
