Lol thanks for reaffirming my decision never to buy a 2.7tt car. 5 pot is the way to go

Nothing is that difficult to fix on a B5, but everything you do takes 3X the amount of time. It becomes very annoying having to remove 5 different things whenever you want to fix something. BUT, it was an awesome car and I do miss it, the 2.7t is a lot of fun on bigger turbos especially in a small avant. The 5 cylinder will always be my favorite though and I am really happy to have my old car back, I regretted selling it every time I would see it, or more importantly, hear itAktapod wrote:The entire time I worked on my dad's B5, I was muttering to myself "soon... soon..." while dreaming of the 200. Either that or cursing the S4. I forget, maybe a mix.
Congrats on getting back your car, man! Can't wait to see what "bigger turbo plans" entails
Must change fenders too as the corner lamps are different...BLAKEnwURS wrote:Has anyone put the hood and lights from a urs6 or a6 on a urs4? My hood is in pretty rough shape and I like the more modern look of the urs6 front end. I'm just curious how it would look with the urs4 bumper and trim etc. I would love to see some pictures of it.
Missing the 5 cyl mostly, it is also cheaper to insure, as well as just overall cheaper. Plus this car in particular just felt so solid and reliable, I never quite had that feeling in my B5. I also read through the "da fridge" build thread again and got inspired to go nuts on a 5 cyl car.Afterthought wrote:Good deal man... I was wondering why you sold the b5, tired of the maintenance or just missing the 5 cyl?
Will the S6 headlight lenses not line up with the S4 corners? My plan was to keep the S4 corners and just run the S6 headlight lenses and hood, seems like they would be close enough at the point where the corner lamp meets the headlight lens that it would work.mushasho wrote:BLAKEnwURS wrote:Has anyone put the hood and lights from a urs6 or a6 on a urs4? The 770 car is a blast, it's over 600 WHP and It's built right, so I don't worry about it much and I daily drive it most of the time. . Having that much power is a trade off, there are always things that can go wrong... I would be fine with a little less power if I could have something like a b8 s4 or b7 rs4 someday, and keep the coupe as a project. I am inspired by the fridge as well!BLAKEnwURS wrote:Missing the 5 cyl mostly, it is also cheaper to insure, as well as just overall cheaper. I need a ride in your 770 car sometime though! Hopefully it won't make me miss mine too much.

Haha, I can't remember who it was. Is he a bit older with a mustache? Motorcycle cop of course.Afterthought wrote:Longest I made it in b'ham without a front plate, 1 day. Lemme guess, Ortega?
