Apparently I grabbed the wrong vac brake booster for the conversion... So now I'm looking for one of those. In other news, I filled the oil and went to crank the engine to make sure I'm getting oil where it needs to be, and my starter bendix was stuck. Luckily I'm a hoarder and had an extra. The bad news is that I'm not seeing any oil at the turbo supply? Hoping that it needs to be running to get the oil pressure where it needs to be.

the booster, master and push rod all need to be from the same setup

The problem is the vac booster is too big, it hits the strut tower when I try to put it in.

Another type 44! They are coming back around. Nice project. Ask Hank about the booster. I believe it is an 87 4000 quattro that fits right in with no problems. There is a 9" and a 10" booster. Another project to keep an eye on.

A C4 100. Not sure if it was fwd or quattro, or if it matters. I just know it doesn't fit in my car...

Blah blah AN lines blah. I got stuff to make my fuel lines but forgot a banjo fitting so I can't finish them yet. Luckily I live close enough that stuff I order from Summit comes next day usually.

Whats the part number on it? Here is the info I have. Bare in mind, the cross reference info doesn't specify whether the part is euro only for a given model or not.

Hey Chris, I don't see anything there... I can't really read the part number but it definitely doesn't fit.

Ordered brake rotors and caliper "rebuild kits." Still on the hunt for the proper brake booster. I think I got the bigger one and it hits the strut tower.

TPS pinout on 3b and aan for future reference to anyone who needs it.

Pin 1: A red wire that also connects to T12/55 in the ECU which provides 5V+ to the G69/F60 combination as well as the F96 Barometric Pressure Sensor and the G40 Cam Position sensor. (Note: The Bentley incorrectly calls the Pressure Sensor the "G16" but there is no such "G16" device for the AAN).

Pin 2: Green wire with a Black stripe - goes to ground connection 5 in the engine harness.

Pin 3: Gray wire connected to pin T53/55 in the ECU - the signal is the 5V+ modified by the variable resistor in the throttle position switch which tells the ECU the degree to which the throttle body is open, which helps the ECU compute "load".

Pin 4: Brown wire with a red stripe, goes to ground connection 2 in the engine harness.

Pin 5 - not used

Pin 6 - Violet (purple) wire that connects to pin T52/55 in the ECU that tells the ECU that the throttle is closed.

Hey man. I spaced on your PM. I haven't had time to make it down to the yard where the stuff is at. As long as they're still there this weekend I should have time to make it down there.

ok sounds good, thanks. I have almost all of my wiring done so it's almost time for final assembly. I just need to wire my o2 sensor in (differences in terminology and I can't find the answers).
