Oil pressure gauge is likely the ribbon connector in the cluster here's some info on that
http://www.audifans.com/pipermail/v8/20 ... 03714.html . 4.2 clusters are suppose to be a little better made.

Thanks for the insight, I don't really want to dig into it, but I will have to at some point, as I get all sorts of phantom warning lights in the mfa...

Now the high pressure power steering line is leaking...anyone have one I'd prefer a leaky one I can have rebuilt.

So I installed a chipped ecu, check engine light came on and is staying on. Tried to log in with vagcom but cannot connect. Any one else have issues like this? Car runs fine and feels faster. The tcu seems to have cleared the "parking lot bind"....

Finally found time to blink codes, got 2342 o2 signal voltage/bad o2 heater etc. That is brand new. 2141 excessive knock 2111 rpm sensor defective. Cleared codes and they came back as soon as I started the car. Stock ecu had no codes this one does, what gives is this chipped ecu messed up? Any suggestions?

Can you swap the knock sensors for known good ones, just to rule that out?
IDK really, just throwing that out there to get the ball rolling.

For the time being it is just a daily, I'd very much like to manual swap it, and perhaps put in an s8 motor...it's hard to say I love driving it but it has a ton of small annoying issues, I will probably address them slowly. It's a pt 3.6, 247bhp, 251 ft lbs....

I love my 3.6L v8q

It has small issues too but hey...it's 24 years old, what do you expect
