You're only ~300ft closer to sea level on Long Island than in Pittsburgh - that is not enough to make any significant difference. And the valves were not "leaking" at any point under my ownership - last compression test ~6 weeks before you purchased the car was 170-180psi across the board.

Sorry to hear about the issues with the clutch.

All good man, it's a high performance car these things unfortunately sometimes happen.

I spent about 7 hours today going over the entire car, the only thing I could find is some corrosion on the Cam Positioning Sensor which I had to solder a new pig tail on during the head install. I'm thinking since the issue I'm having is intermident it could potentially be that. Regardless I'm having my local Audi shop look over the car as well, I'm getting a new CPS and having the car street tuned for the time being. Ill have some more news later in the week.

Now decisions..

Should I get a Stage 4 Drag Clutch and keep the car around 525whp or do a twin disc now and go ham. Lol..

I had a random no start issue and found corrosion on the cps terminals. I replaced it and haven't had an issue since.

Bummer about the valve issue but you got a well sorted car from a good seller and appear to have what it takes to keep a beast like this on the road. Enjoy

I run the same clutch/flywheel setup and have had some occasional slip like issues. If I do a full throttle 1st gear pull and shift hard to 2nd everything goes well 99.5% of the time. A few times I have grabbed 2nd and let the clutch out and when I get back on the throttle its like Im in neutral. Engine zings to 8k limiter with no resistance. If I kick the clutch back in and release I have 2nd. I figure its a sticky hydraulic cylinder, but it may actually be slip. Dunno, and its so imfrequent that I havent looked into it much. My brake fluid is fresh, but I havent bled the clutch slave.

Of course it would if the valve was not sealing. Leak down is pretty much always better than compression test, but not necessary unless there is a lack of compression.

Yeah, it could certainly be an issue with the clutch hydraulics. I would look into it further before you go buying a new clutch Pete. Like I said it never ever slipped on me even a little bit. Slave was replaced in 2012 or 2013 sometime

My clutch used to slip at first in the 200 then would grab mid pull. I replaced the slave and master and never witnessed that issues again. I assume it was sticking or "lazy".

My SB Stage 4 Dual Ferramic on DMF occasionally slipped at 31-32psi intermittently... but that was much more due to a PS rack that would piss out fluid at high revs... luckily this type of disc isn't instantly damaged like other materials...
