so on the way back from the drag strip today (to watch my cousin and roommate's dad both race in some NHRA event) I had a little encounter with a new camaro SS.
I think he was embarrassed and ashamed after the encounter

Here are some pics from fixxfest (and the night before at the car wash)

My new freakin awesome sticker!!!!

the cruise to Fixx

rolling into the show

sittin' pretty!

found this somewhere. It was amazing how many people stopped at the car who I overheard saying, "...dang thats badass, I want one!"

and here is just a pic of some of our little group hangin' out under the tent 8)

All in all it was a great time and it was nice getting compliments on the 200. My goal for next year is to bring the 90!!! If not that, then at least show up with the 200 complete with an 01E, Hanks manifold, and a good clutch. If that is the case, then I'll run it

Oh and I was really close to buying spacers there, but they only had 20mm spacers and these wheels need more than 20mm to sit flush on the car. I haven't measured exactly, but I think its more like 30mm or so!
In other news, I'm doing some testing on my one little misfire that remains. This is much different than the misfires I was getting before due to the plugs. This is a single, sharp misfire around 6500 RPMs that happens 3 out of 5 times by my best estimate. I can't link it to temperature, time running, or anything like that. I suspect something sensor or hardware related. I'll keep you all posted on what it turns out to be. Other than this little issue the car runs perfectly. Its freakin sweet at times. It often surprises me with how fast it is, but its pretty inconsistent. Might be due to my different moods from day to day. I dunno. Its definitely enough to be fun for now though. I should have some vids soon.

Do it thats what we did on the silver 200, looked decent enough. 200 front bumpers are so high, even if you are dumped you look like your stock height haha.
Cars lookin good man!

haha I know, its sad how high the front is. Yours was the only 200 I ever saw with one and it did look pretty darn good.

I was thinking of more in the way of custom bumper.
Would it be possible to cut and slot it? Make it lower/deeper.
It would look heaps meaner of the opening in the bumper would be taller.
Like a big mouth, with room for a kicks ass FMIC!

Hey now, I already have a kick ass FMIC! Can't you see it in those pics? lol
Anyway, yes...I actually did have custom bumper go through my mind since it was you who asked. Maybe a nice CF version of the V8 bumper or something. I dunno. Cosmetics are last on my list however.
pilihp, its when you go to Home Depot and buy a garage door liner thing...then you put it on the bottom of your bumper. Makes for a nice looking lip which doesn't crack when you hit it on something

AKA something like this

That just looks terrible. Especially the rear wheel(s)

well the pic wasn't for the whole car. It always stirs people up. The part of the picture in question is the front lip. I dunno, I'll make my own version and we'll see how it looks!

We got the car for 200, wheels were 100, tires were 150, lip cost 1.50 and we probably had more fun in that car than most people have with theirs on here. Thats all that really matters to me.
I would say try and make a decent lip Chris, the stuff we used was like this hard plastic stuff, almost like a piece of siding or something, and we just heated it up and bent it around, cut it to fit and drilled "speed holes" LOL

Ya, I'll probably just do some double sided tape as I don't want to cut up a perfectly good 200 20v bumper. They aren't that easy to come by in good shape

Do you really think 2x tape will really hold Chris? Especially if you ever drive through any cold weather, it will fall off. xD

haha yeah...I'll get some good stuff. Plenty of people use it for stuff like this. I certainly don't expect it to hold forever though. I'll just have to get some really nice tape lol. I guess if I wanted to drill holes, those can be patched up if I really wanted them to be gone someday. I dunno, we'll see.

just found this pic...pretty sweet!

nothing much new. Just did a little quick tuning because I had the low gear cruising way too lean. Car drives a bit better now

Next up is getting rid of my little random misfire. New box should be on its way soon, just gotta find the time to figure out some pinouts. Also excitedly waiting on new intake mani

I can't wait.

Before you get a lip, get the headlight/grille surround trim strip. It makes me a little mad every time I see your car and see you STILL haven't gotten one! 99 pages of missing trim! The horror, the horror!

haha you know, you're right...I totally forgot about that.
I actually have both trim pieces. I just need those damned clips!

Yeah, if the dealer has them...
I've had a lot of trouble trying to find them in the past. I wish I could just make some. Anyone who has them, I'll take some off of your hands
