NICE! I still love the fact that you are willing to drop it all out the bottom, and not cut the front end up. Keep it up, I want to hear this thing screaming again!

Separated Motor/Trans tonight. The clutch still has some meat on it but the discoloration signifies quite a bit of slipping.

And the wonderful reason of why I could no longer shift.......

Pilot bearing innards? Same thing happened to me, but it was all my fault (and no, we arent going there)

One thing I noticed that means nothing now, but you left the alternator on the passenger side...interesting.

My alternator is on the passenger side as well. I like it that way because it leaves a lot more room in front of the radiator for air flow. Good progress man! I wanna see this thing at BBQ!

Guess I never thought about air flow. Its been years and I forget why I kept mine in the stock 4kq location. If I had kept the AC I would have moved it to the other side, I suppose.
Either way its a moot point, just something I found interesting.

Wow. How long did it take to do that? Also if you're abandoning the 20v... I really wanna know what's next.

Who said anything about abandoning the 20v?
If I were, and I have considered it, I will do a 16v swap, maybe even a 20v swap.....but I doubt it would fit

Well, at least no one can say you don't run your cars hard. That is some insane heat on that fw... shit.... and that piston yikes.

Well it's pretty clear what happened... the #3 piston must have hit the pilot bearing!
