now that I have my ignition timing a little more dialed, I think I might modify that stroker claim to 450-500, but yeah it should be interesting!

Yep, it's all pretty neat. What I am super happy about is the top end. Can't wait to see what it throws down, I think I'll be happy:). The car has never been faster

Okay, so I had to go out and play with my setup logging to see. This is 3rd gear, down the onramp, so not quite a flat surface. Pretty darn interesting.

20 degrees of timing? You suck! Thats a good log. Mine was up a slight hill if I remember right. Yours looks great for a full blown .82 housing.

e85 rocks!!!! That is the last of 20 degrees though, as it dips to 15-16 in about 200rpm. I need ot get this thing on the dyno to see where torque peak is happening. Got a feeling I will drop from 5200 with the 2200 to around 4700 on the 2.6

Yes, and I see they have superior logging as well. Notice how I have to use my wideband...

haha.

That is nice too Hank. Great spool. Identical to dad's 2.5L (281kpa at 4004rpm). His log shows at that RPM he's at 15.5*

Here's some more data. Right where the selector line is is where the QSV opens.

Right now, my setup (2226cc, E85) will make 25psi @ 4,400rpm in 3rd gear. I think I can do a bit better, still need to tweak the boost curve some more.

It's kinda awesome that 4 pretty different setups are all so close in spool. Well I guess you three all have the same turbo, but we have a range of fuels, displacement, worked motors, compression ratios, etc.

It is pretty cool. Now, anyone want to bet how long Hank can hold off on a QSV to make a setup that takes advance of the best of all setups?

We all keep doing this to reduce spool, but it always ends up having the same spool, but more power. LMAO.

 So true. 4k rpm spool seems to be the magic number for streetability.

The hta3794 r is a turbo I wanna try but it would probably be 800 rpm more spool. I can fake this turbo on the track, but a 3794r is just too big for the local tracks. My only saving grace woudl be that my 2.6L is probably making 180whp NA.

It would be a fun throw customers around turbo though

Boy I wish. These days, I am pretty addicted to the extra grunt of a 2.6L.

It would be fun to build a $$$$2.2L tall deck though with drysump and solid head. It would have a pretty good powerband from 5300-10,000!

Ed, do you have a log of your pull in 3rd? I never got a clean log in 3rd from my old setup. I think the one I use now and then to show spool on my 2.2L is a 4th gear pull. Loading it up in 4th I could get full boost at around 4000 or so IIRC.

Your 3rd gear pull isn't exactly apples to apples, as you have an honest 1000lbs on me to help load up the turbo, but it is pretty close to help understand the gain from displacement only. We have pretty much the same setup at this point.
