My bad on the 110 vs 115. Different places have conflicting information on that. Etka says 110. Anyway, I'll try and get a hold of that belt.

All alternator brackets are in place.

Dayco top cog:

15325 - stock belt 32.5"
15320 - 32"
15315 - 31.5"
etc.

Lost another belt tonight. I am pretty pissed that this is what's keeping me from enjoying the car right now.

Does an underdrive pulley exist? Think the crank pulley is at fault?

It's popping off at a much lower rpm now too.

Get a laser alignment kit...

There really isn't much room for misalignment. The alternator is hard mounted to a fixed bracket with very little play. The only real adjustment is in the tension.

I'm probably going to swap out the alternator pulley and crank pulley asap and see if that helps at all.

Anyone happen to think harmonics from crank deflection are happening at this power level? If so, there is really nothing I can do, right?

I would just make up an idler pulley mount for the slack side of the belt

Have you considered converting to a serpentine setup from a URS4?

I'm sure it can be done however there's probably a lot involved.

The RS2 ADU harmonic balancer pulley is both serp for the alt. and 2 V's for the a/c and p/s but the accessories are on opposite sides so who knows how everything would line up?

Have you checked the alternator shaft? Free spinned by hand to see if the pulley wobbles. I had this prob, went with a diff alt. Belt would be all over the place when free revving and kept flying off at ~7k. Shortest belt possible and bigger alt pulley help heaps too.

Understand not wanting to spend a bazillion dollars.

Sounds like you need a super short belt like everyone has said, If it is throwing the belt and not breaking it, it is getting flipped over from an incorrect angle or the tension is not holding at higher rpms and allowing the belt to slip ever so slightly.

You could use a few washers (Grinded or ungrinded) to improve the angle between the pullies, and a little bit of wax or soap (it helps tons) after cleaning the inner pully surfaces. I would get a locking nut on the alternator side out of paranoia and cheapness. You having to use a new belt everytime sucks, since it is probably stretching out a wee bit from when it was off the shelf, which in turn makes your previous adjustment useless. My new belt needed to be re tightened (continental) after a few days, but has been fine since. Maybe taking it easy for a few days and re tightening may help.

If you are a bit nuts you could also just get the car on stands and leave it in neutral to do a quick sustained 7000+ run... at least you could see if it is belt slack or if its just misaligned awfully.

I doubt it's harmonics from the crank at this point, but if it was, I bet an ati damper would help...

Fixed the issue! Such a relief!

First I pulled the whole front end off to get a good look at the pulleys. I spun the alternator and noticed a wobble so my first plan of attack was to change that pulley. Done.

I then pulled the crank pulley off my spare engine getting it ready to go on if needed.

I pulled out a straight edge and started measuring. Not visible to the eye, the alternator was cocked a little bit (~1mm off from one end of the pulley to the other). I couldn't believe it. So I loosen the two M10 bolts that hold the alt/snub bracket to the block and it immediately dropped into place where it should be!

Throw it all back together with a Dayco poly-cog and it seems to be good to go.

Fucking thing is fast at 33psi right now. I hit a little bump in the road while on it in 2nd gear and it ripped the tires loose! lol.

Result! Most rewarding fixes are the cheap and easy ones that have bugged you for ages.

I should have clarified. I'm running a small vbelt for the alternator alone. I've had no issues up to 7800rpm and I aligned it perfectly when I rebuilt everything. I think the perfect alignment fixed things more than the very tight aspect.
