definitely a car I would love to run against when mine is running again. I wish you would put it on a dyno. Now I have some Idea what to expect from mine. I am really curious how it idles on 2000cc injectors. You seem to have it idling pretty smooth and the rpm didn't sound high in the video. Great Job. Your car is freaking bad ass. Hope you get it fine tuned and enjoy it now without any major issues.

Wow sounds absolutely brutal. How is spool on the super 94!?

Seems really really laggy. It might just be me but you would think 32 PSI on that big of a turbo to be absolutely savage.

Maybe being that large it really only gets into its efficiency range at super high pressure ratios?

Going to find a compressor map...

edit, I'm not hating, I just don't understand. On that red demon car full boost isn't until around 8k! :o

So you hit full boost at 6500 earliest? lol

It's probably 5500 in 4th gear. That's how my hx52 (67mm holset) spooled. The big turbos don't always seem to come on super hard... They are deceiving.

The car Idles nice with the 2000cc injectors imo for the amount of time I was in the car when he switched over to the E85. Plus he needs to get it right so when my cars done there will be a tune for it lol.

Well it looks about right around ~5000-5400 from the video that he hits full boost, that is a meaty powerband in a 6speed

3rd gear pulls are showing around 320kpa @ 6200 rpm from the logs Nick has sent. 250kpa by 5600 or so. 200kpa by 5000. I suspect that with better boost control and ignition tuning on a dyno, he will settle in right at about 5900 rpm for 32psi. The good news, like any proper built big turbo car, is that he is still making more power than stock almost everywhere, even pre spool.

Seriously...either it's so damn fun, you're out blasting back roads or you're working haha. Either way I (we) want some more damn feedback! Hope all is well.

I worked the last two days and today I found the issue with my alternator belt (I think). The 200 20v was supposed to have a 115amp alt and mine had a 90 (some junk aftermarket). It charged fine and fit almost correct and worked fine for years. Now since the RPM is going much higher, the misalignment is tossing belts. I started doing some research and found that the offsets on the two alternators are different.

I ordered a 115 locally today and I'm hoping they'll hook me up and just swap them out as mine is technically good, just wrong.

Aside from that, I also got VEMS speed input working perfectly today :) That make me very happy and makes all sorts of other neat features available.

Also, back working with my buddy on the iOS/VEMS digital dash application.

Nice on the speed sensor functionality. How did you accomplish that?

I was just going to ask as well. I really wish the VEMS wiki was somewhat usable...

I just did the SAME thing. Had a 90A cheapo duralast from when my alternator quit on a road trip back in 2004. Changed it to a 115A (Thanks Dana) and put the shorter Gates belt on it and it's holding well, though the profile of the gates belt isn't quite right so it is wearing in a bit. Sounds like a supercharger since the belt is running more on the cog profile of the belt.

Enjoying following along Nick this thing is so badass.

On the alternator belt I agree with hank my 200 tossed them regularly, alignment is key but also but keep it as loose as possible. The 5k chirps on startup/fan cycling but had never thrown one even through an autox with hitting the rev limiter and hard 2-1 downshifts and 1-2 upshifts.

So I stole the Avant's alternator which is the correct 115amp unit and it fits perfect. Installed a belt .5" shorter and she launched another belt. WTF mate? It was on the loose side, maybe now I'll try tighter.

Is there an aftermarket pulley that's deeper?

Could you add an idler pulley to act as a guide/stabilizer?

Hate to hear about throwing belts, must be frustrating.

Be careful as I've seen belts take out other belts adjacent to them. Wouldn't want to take out the most important one...

My 200 never threw a belt at 8k. Must be a tension thing if it's aligned properly now.

Luckily the timing belt has all it's covers in place. Funny you mention taking out other belts... Ac belt disappeared too.

Ac still works great...as long as there's a belt. Lol

My 200 ate a cone in a driver's safety course several weeks ago, taking out the alt belt, which in turn, took out both the other belts and shredded them all to bits. Consider yourself lucky! Thank goodness for TB covers, though.

Try a dayco top cog belt. The alt. is 110amp not 115amp FWIW. Also I couldn't tell from your pics but it looked like the cross brace that runs from the toothed bracket to the a/c compressor was missing? It helps keep the alt. from moving thus loosing tension on the belt.
