it does sound pretty sharp ...light wt flywheel?

Yes, 8lbs. The rods and pistons are a little lighter than stock 20v, and alot lighter than 20v stuff. The cool part is when you shut it off and it just stops dead in it's tracks.

:-D The big heat shield on the fender is from under the car where the rear muffler used to be. I made the hot side turbo heat shield from some polished stainless sheet I found at the hardware store. There's also another heat shield between the header and turbo outlet made from the same stuff.

I just noticed that you are using the valve cover breather port. On the factory 20v/20vt that is actually just capped off, you using it since you deleted several of the other breather lines?

I added it just to see how it behaves. As you can see in the pics there's a fair amount of water that came out of it so it can't hurt. I didn't delete any other lines, the crankcase vent is still there. The only difference is it dumps out the exhaust instead of the in the intake.

Huh? Capped off on 20vt? You sure about that?
As you can see, I've found a need for lots of breathing out of the valve cover, a dash 6 and -10, -6 goes down to the block outlet, -10 straight to the breather can:

I think we determined that running 4KTQ20V without a breather at the top marked the beginning of the end for the turbo seals/bearings b/c oil flow stopped (reversed) when there was lots of boost and blowby causing pressure buildup in the sump and backing up the turbo oil return line to the sump.
Interesting that you made doubly sure Javad... mine just goes from similar spot on camcover to the block outlet... or a tee between it and the 034 Vortex Seperator... was thinking you might locate a vent where the distributor used to be??

I'll be watching the pressure on them to make sure it's not going positive.

Where (and what) is the air filter?

Speaking of this.Bill Davis (AuditunerB5) had just finished his 2.0 20V and was getting serious blow by.Fulled up his catch can with a quart of oil on the first roll.

.@ first I thought it was his piston rings not seating or something but after seeing an engine bay shot I freaked out.long story short he now vents his valve cover with a 10-AN fitting and gets minimal blow by.
10-AN from both the block & the valve cover >> vortex/swirl pot >> catch cun.

Doh, forgot pics of that. I'll get some tonight. It's a huge K&N cyl that's a 6" across and 12" long that sits right below the turbo.

I'd love to see what underhood temps run (say between AX runs) right up top, 12" down and as far down as possible in the engine compartment. parked after a hard run...
Can't help but think that the further down and forward you get your intake air the further you will be from heat soaking your IC on the next angry cycle.
If you've seen those goofy ricer air intakes that kind of look like an intercooler and mount below the bumper.... maybe not so stoopid on a real High boost hot-rod... looks dorky on a ratty civic but might be the "coolest" way to go...

It's very low and can't get much further away from any heat. It almost hangs out the bottom of the car.

Congratulations on a job well done!! If I see a yellow blur on the interstate I'll know who it is.
Note to self . . start saving money for turbo project...

The 7A isn't even supposed to have the nipple, but some of the heads do, and it's capped. I had to go under the 3B slides to even find the part number for the rubber cap when it started leaking and caused a major warm/hot idle problem (car would stall). The AAN slide doesn't list even the nipple (on the 3B and 7A, it is actually removable) or a cap that I could see. Also looked at the vacuum system slides for the 3B, doesn't show anything connecting to the nipple on the valve cover.
So.....?
