Either route is amazing power.... Let's not forget Nick is already 1-0 against the mighty 07k..... We haven't seen his final form (Queue Dragonball Z music)

Someone with knowledge on the subject... RS2 intake manifold or not worth it? GO!

JShadzi wrote:Ok...flow #'s for the 3B...honestly, I was surprised at how bad it actually was. My hypotesis is that flow would degrade further from the inlet, and it was right on...

Total variation of over 12% and 9% from average, #1 cylinder really getting the shaft. Now on average a stock head flows about 200cfm, so the net effect may or may not be so bad. I made over 500whp with this manifold, but I never measured cyl-to-cyl performance, its comforting to see that the manifold I"m now running flows MUCH more consistently from cyl-to-cyl and flows significantly more overall.

FWIW, my new big valve head will outflow even the #5 cylinder of a 3B manifold 8)

JShadzi wrote:OK kids...here ya go.

I'll preface by saying I didn't believe it myself either, but the #'s don't lie. Same flowbench, same procedure as the previous 2. We even went back and ran it again to verify, same exact results...

About 5% less flow across the board than the 3B we tested, make your own conclusions :wtf:

Take it as you will, lots of bickering about how to flow a manifold here http://www.motorgeek.com/viewtopic.php?t=9764

Any updates on your fuel pump solution, or still waiting on the 3d printer?

I've got a few printed but I'm not going to install the pumps for a while. I want the new engine to run on the old fuel system for break in so it'll be a but until I know how the double pump setup works out.

Small update, my block now takes the record for most rusty block Jeff has ever seen. After it came out of the hot tank:

There will be vids-o-plenty. Testing out the Magic Lantern firmware for my Canon's. Should help make the footage a bit higher quality.

I've thought about that firmware, but never really looked into it too much. Or when I was it was write a while ago. I'd love a higher fps setting for the 5d2. I think I will check it out... I need to make something with the 4k too.

Even with ML, I think the 5D2 is limited to 24 or 30fps. My 7D will do 60 but only at 720p which is fine for some slow motion footage.

ML gives some real cool control over audio and tons of other neat tricks.

Thanks Chris, I'm going to order a set and see what I think. Might end up on the Avant.

To re-iterate, the main stud kit offered by ARP specific to our 2.2-2.3 20v engines is incorrect. Kit 204-5404.

 I love the look of them on your sedan. I'm thinking of going with a faux rally car look for the 5k, (tastefully) large mud flaps, a couple hellas in front of the grille, flat black hood w/ leather strap and a big 'ol obnoxious reverse fog :D
