So if I do indeed get these (and all signs point to yes), I have many options for what to do with them. I may just throw them on my dad's E36 like this (his is also white, 328, and 4 door) but will have an M3 front.

or like this

or this

but I think I'll want to try these out on the Audi and if I really like them, I'm GOING to MAKE them fit right :)

They are 8" wide and ET20. Adapters would probably bring them down to ET 0. That might be too much poke and if it is, then they will either be filled and redrilled or I might machine them down to a higher offset (and use adapters).

The main thing I want to figure out is what color scheme to go with. Bronze and polished would probably look nice. I'd really like to do something with pearl white centers, but I'm not sure what I really want.

Here are some other options ;)

the possibilities are endless!!

oh and I'll probably be able to finally be able to break them loose. These will have either 215 40's or 205 40's on them.

and now understeer will be a little less of a problem haha

So are you going to sell your Porsche wheels?? How much do you want for them?

Trading them for the two sets pictured above (the BBS's and the S4 wheels). If the deal falls through then PM me with an offer. They aren't that expensive, but with the custom adapters, hardware, and new tires on the front they command $1k +

germantoy wrote:oh no this looks like vwvortex, do rods and ditch the wheels

No thanks, this is a way for me to spend zero money and get decent tires and two nice sets of wheels. If I got rods, I'd be spending $300. Free is for me!!

I dont care if you dont care about style. I do. Thats that. Function comes before form for me for sure, but I like the attention that comes with a nice looking car too. Stance does it for me almost as much as a nice exhaust note does. I like doing things differently too. I bet there isn't one other person in the world with these BBS's on a 200 20v (since they are 5x120).

Have no fear, big turbo will be on as soon as 034 finishes the new manifold!

worthesee = bbs on everything even postal vehicles.

whatever you do dont pay out the ass from black forest for hardware. theres an ebay store that sells the same hardware (if your rebuilding them) for wayyyy cheaper

Good advice, thanks. There is a guy in the BMW world that sells them in different finishes as well.

I meant as far as these particular wheels. They are BMW fitment and will probably be a pain in the ass to fit. We'll see if I do it or not.

I didn't say BBS's in general. I meant these particular ones. BBS RC 090's. Maybe in Germany or something lol.

Even that I HIGHLY doubt. When BBS and german cars are involved, I just assumed it's ALL been done, plenty of times. I also don't bother with any of the "creative" options, due to the above rule, and the fact that it never looks as good as the classic way. But if you're getting real BBS, 2 pc mesh to boot, for a set of cheap porsche reps, that is damn good.

Yeah, you are probably right.

Anyway, yes...its a good deal. Especially since I get S4 wheels too.

No joke...two sets of wheels for $300/set wheels is pretty damn good. I feel bad for them.

That is a pretty sweet deal. What exactly are the rims you have now??

some reps of porsche wheels...I dunno. They have over $1k into them after adapters and such though...so its an OK deal for both of us.

The BBS wheels are going to look so sexy, no matter how you set them up!!!!!

OK update time

shot the car with the Porsche wheels for the last time last night...here's one to remember them by

Image

here is one of the sets I got in the trade...

Everyone who knows the car (including me) says it looks more rugged. I dig the look more than I thought I would. Obviously its just temporary though.

I also got some 18" Enkei as a spare. If anyone wants it PM me. It would be cheap.

And here was the deal maker for me.

Image

its just too bad they dont fit. If I redrilled in the rear they'd fit, but in the front they need about 15mm of spacer to fit over the brakes. They might poke out too far after a spacer in the front. I might just have to sell them OR might have to throw them on my dad's E36. It depends. Either way, I'm refinishing them to perfection.

I also mounted one with the face in reverse. Man do I wish I had the car to fit these in this configuration!

The only bad thing that came out of it was that I noticed a bubble in my sidewall. The fronts from the Porsche wheels were mounted on these S4 wheels. I think the shop may be responsible for this. Maybe they mounted them dry? Does anyone even know if its possible to get a bubble from the shop?

I just took pictures of everything thursday night...so I figured I would have seen the bubble then.

Thanks! Yeah, I'm pretty surprised how much I dig 'em. I think they look a lot better in black than silver. It just suits the rest of the car better as a theme. To truly pull them off they need to be spaced out and the car needs to go a bit lower. BUT I may just put that money towards the BBSs.
