I actual found a pair that will give me the four I need. Just waiting for delivery. I was waiting to get back to you if they fell through. Thanks!

I have four on hand for the same thing... wondering about your plan to match the flares to the bumpers.

I'm hiring Jim Green. He doesn't know it yet.

I wonder what it would cost to have molds made of all my parts. It would be kind of cool to have the front bumper, front fenders, and rear bumper in Carbon Fiber. Then you would just have to weld in the rears

Swapping out the stamped arms with cast arms from a B4 90. New ball joints and delrin bushings.

So how does everybody feel about derlin bushings over Poly? ride quality/ road noise transfer ect? I have a full set and hesitate installing as Poly would be quieter/stiffer than stock but with that new car feel.

I can tell you they were a pain to instal. Not into the arms themselves, but into the subframe.

I'm glad i'm not the only one who had that experience.

I have some of Mance's control arm bushings. They are the silkiest damn things I have ever touched. Too bad they are not being made anymore. If you ever have the chance to buy a set, jump on it.

I concur that the 034 delrin and bushings really suck to install. I have PowerFlex bushings right now and they were an easier install and fit better. They do have thrust washers that can be a little bit annoying, but the fit is nice.

perhaps it's time for me to finally do my own designed set for the small chassis cars?
I really love my powerflex ones. They made an insane difference on the rear but I have yet to do the fronts.
I keep getting asked to do my own

A secret to getting a 255/40/17 or 275/40/17 tire to fit in the wheel well and turn lock to lock. Swap the hubs right to left. Sure, it puts the caliper on the front, but does the trick.

Here is before and you see where it rubs.

And this is after, gaining a half inch and no rubbing.

Not to mention the Direzza Sports are a +1 tire size... my oh my, that's some big rubber you're wearing down there!

Getting closer!
Mock up of the urS fender is about 90% done. To really finish the trimming of the fenders I'll need to muster the courage to cut out the current flares. Makes me a bit nervous to fully commit, but it has to be done.

I've been looking at the 1998-2005 Jetta rear bumper flares and might have found a solution to plastiweld in the flares to match the urS fenders. Need to track down a bumper.
Hoping to drop the car off in about 2-3 weeks to start the body work.

I was walking though my work parking lot the other day and happened to walk by a 1998-2005 (corrected) Jetta and noticed the rear bumper flares. Just about a perfect match to the urS fenders. I picked one up tonight and cut it down. Had a conversation with the body shop guy to get things moving. Closer.

The edge is a bit thicker than the fender, but it should work. A little bit of magic with a soldering iron and this will be money!

I've always admired how wide the mk4 rears were... but a 97-02 would be a mk3, right?
Also, what if a guy had two sets of UrS fenders for a wide flare conversion? What do you think would work better, the UrS or Jetta fenders?

Yeah, I don't know the VW model years at all.
When I pulled the Jetta bumper I did take note of the rear fenders. The arch is identical to the urS fender as far as width and height. I think it could be a possibility, but not as accessible to just pull them off and use them. I didn't pay much attention to the front fenders of the Jetta.

Finally mustered the courage to cut one of the rear fenders out. One down, four to go.

Some fine tuning left near the door, but overall ready to go.
