Who is planning to come to Carlisle this year?

Post by DE80q »

With March soon apon us, Carlisle will be here before you know it. I know Mike has started getting ready, and I know of a few others as well. Who else is planning to come? Last year's event went well, despite the combining of the 2 shows. I'm looking forward to seeing you everyone again this year.

I'll be there!
After dropping my stuff off at home last year I went out for lunch in the coupe, it died on the road.
I flat beded it home and spent the rest of May and most of June figuring out what happened, replacing the gear and then getting the timing right so that it would run.
Since then I've had the replaced the front Comtrol arms with forged ones, the rear subframes with a late model one that has sway bar mounts I also got all that and the shock towers powder coated. I've swapped shocks and springs twicce and cleaned out the oil pan.
I'm now in the middle of replacing the rear speakers and adding keyless entry.

First alignment was clearly done by a monkey, second alignment (by an Audi enthusiast) resolved a bunch of quirks.

I need to finish up the speakers, keyless entry, glue up a piece of plastic I broke and do some other more minor stuff.
I might just make it if I burn some PTO.

i had a similar issue with my black coupe..turns out that all the issues were due to a bent front subframe - My mechanic (Lee Malo - Advanced Technologies in Gloucester MA) spent a lot of time measuring the subframe and ball joint/control arm spacing. We ended up replacing the front subframe and now the car tracks true
