Same option essentially for the quads (OEM Hella), but I may be able to do them for cheaper. They aren't real easy to find for reasonable money.

Re: Alex's '83 UrQ Project

Nice progress, Alex. We have similar approaches to this. :)

Hopefully I can draft in the wake of your progress as you go zipping by me.

If you are sticking with the quads, I may have an OEM projector solution in the works.

Also finally got a full brake setup for front and rear for either stock ...

Re: Chris' 200 20v Sedan - The Revver

Very nice...some good info there...

As far as the area under the curve, if you have the cam profiles between stock and whatever you're running, plotting the flow versus an engine cycle would tell a much more meaningful story. Increased lift and duration will only add to the improvement shown from ...

Re: What to drive daily?

How often are you having to work on a daily driven UrS with 250k and climbing?

Well, not much so far, but it could certainly use some suspension overhaulin'. In the 65K miles on the two cars, I've really just done two things (after initial purchase maintenance). I put a new fuel pump in the pearl ...

Re: Whats it worth?

I agree with the posts/valuations above...The only thing it really has going for it is that its an avant. Value really will depend on what maintenence is required as that can match the value of the car pretty easily at this point.

I get that's it's a pretty unique example with a 5 speed and the ...

Re: Lets talk brakes

How is the brake feel of 17Z's coming from G60's? They take a little more travel to really engage after switching from HP2's on the S4.

Huge difference...I drive two uRS's back to back many times, one with the 17Z and cheap pads and the other with G60's. It is night and day. And pedal travel is ...

Re: Lets talk brakes

I noticed a while back there was a urs group buy for a bracket (17z) that allowed for the 330 rotors to be run without any issues. But not sure if that's fact or fiction.

Not to derail the post from the OP's intent, but I'll at least address the fact vs. fiction question on the URS group buy BBK ...

Re: Aarons NEW Coilover DIY, B3/CQ stuff.

Agree that the A1 set screw is a poor design for these. I used a few dabs of silicone to keep mine in place, but that only works because I tend to 'set it and forget it' for my uses.

The other option is like Ground Control which uses a split ring design which can be clamped with a screw. Even with ...

Re: DIY Large Chassis Coilovers

For a recent set, I reclaimed the ring from the bilstein perch by cutting it out of the stamped spring holder. It has a nice counterbore to capture the factory ring and works as they have intended. I then silicone'd the ring and sleeve in place.

Re: Chris' 200 20v Avant - RENNWGN

IIRC, many (all?) of the C3 100's have manual CC. I would think that would swap in pretty easily and they seem to be at the salvage yards fairly frequently.

I was very happy with the manual CC I put in my eS2. I thought about the later auto CC, but hard to argue with the simplicity and reliability ...
