Re: Avant 200 version 3.0 new and improved
Those aluminum dowels on the side of the intercooler are supposed to slide into the rubber grommets. Hopefully your spare core has them and the bracket.

Re: Avant 200 version 3.0 new and improved
It’s a tight fit but I wanted it to be as big as physically possible for the stock space. You’ll likely have to remove the black grill clip on the left side to get the cooler into the rubber grommets in the core support. The grill is still pretty secure with only the one clip on the right side. Plus ...

Re: Avant 200 version 3.0 new and improved
You’ll need to remove the little plastic grill nut in the center and possibly the left grill latch. I loosen the two 13mm bolts on the core support (at the frame rails) and it allows you to pull up the core support enough to slide it into its new home.

I don't see any crank position noise in that log.
Keep it up Shawn. Love the build.

Hey Josh! Are these available yet? I may be interested in a set or two if available. I just retro'd my Avant lights too.

016 = boom last night.
She was tired though. When I got the car there was no fluid in the thing per the usual input shaft seal leak. Changed the seal and fluid but it was too late. It made some serious whining that would change in pitch based on the gear/speed. Def final drive related.

I love my S3 though the RS will be tempting...if it becomes available. That being said, S3's will be running fairly effortless 10's in the very near future. APR's Stage 3 kit is nearing sporting a Borg EFR6758.

Re: Matt's 1995 Casablanca Urs6 Build!
Does a factory car have enough accelerating G-force to really matter in this sense? Obviously Matt's car is far from stock but just trying to figure out if that's why they intentionally made 5 slightly more restrictive.

Re: Nick's 1991 200qa "Project" - "R4CEW4GN"
I think that will probably be the best plan. Run it at the current wastegate spring (~13psi). Lean it back to .79ish and see how the plugs look with some miles. From what I gather, on E85, plugs don't turn brown ever. Just always look new. There is probably still some E85 in the tank from back in ...

Ok guys, I need some help. Avant is up and running well which I am very happy about. I am being extra super careful this time around with tuning and some things aren't making sense to me. Wideband and dutycycle on the injectors would indicate I am running WAY rich (I am playing it very safe to ...

I actually have an old megasquirt stimulator. Maybe I can get that thing to work somehow. I figure just doing the testing running will also work since I'm getting closer. Engine is now out of the sedan.
