Re: CQ 2 bolt ball joints
I might be interested in a set, just have to make sure they'd fit. I have a late build 90Q and they look the same but I'm not 100% sure. They are for the rear right?

Re: Kevin's 90Q: Boost still low
I think your right, plus I could definitely use that money elsewhere on the car. I seriously need to redo the downpipe to though, the bottom is smashed pretty bad and is prob only 1.5' now. Idk how the hell people run 3" pipes AND lower their cars, mine is still stock height and with 2.5" it's still ...

Re: Kevin's 90Q: shhh, I'm hunting boost leaks.
yup, pretty much stock system with a cat, center resonator and muffler at the end. all 2.5" IIRC........ Although there is a hole right before the rear muffler that might just be giving me a little better flow.

Re: Kevin's 90Q: shhh, I'm hunting boost leaks.
Alright, one more small update. went through and found a significant boost leak in the charge piping, so redid the lines. Pressurized the system and there are absolutely zero leaks this time, made sure to keep an eye on the boost gauge and it went all the way up to 15psi and dropped slowly ...

Re: Taco's 4KTQ 20vt Swap: The Red Baron - 150mph club
I've got a pressure tester if you'd like to borrow it, not sure what size the volvo K24 inlet is so you might need a different hose. mine is just setup for the K26. Seems weird though cause I know when mine had a lot of boost leaks it would build boost normally and then top out at the max it could ...

Re: Taco's 4KTQ 20vt Swap: The Red Baron - MOAR BOOST AND PI
Nice work man!!!! Wish I could make it to BBQ this year to see this thing on the dyno in person. What does the seat of the pants dyno feel like as far as hp gained?

Re: Kevin's 90Q: shhh, I'm hunting boost leaks.
So, small update. Got an O-ring for the turbo and pressure tested the system. Found a couple leaks in the plumbing to the throttle plate, got those clamps extra tight but I'm still only getting 9lbs boost tops and it will taper off at redline still. I'm using 034's 1.8 bar wastegate spring and I ...

Re: Kevin's 90Q: stg 2.5: pics galore.
Looks like a good start to a project man! SO question, what's up with that bumper? I'm not trying to sound harsh, but I hope you have plans to fix it! I know where there is one locally that is pearl white that could be picked up on the cheap.
Thanks, yeah I'm psyched to finally be making some good ...

Re: Kevin's 90Q: stg 2.5: pics galore.
WE NEED MOAR PICTUREZ OF HPR MOTOR MOUNTZ!!!
Once you get a wideband and the turbo buttoned up, we'll get that thing tuned nice. Hell it might even be faster than my 20vt!
Lol. I apologize, got super lazy last night and didn't upload any pics to photobucket. I really need to get a digital camera ...

Re: Kevin's 90Q: stg 2.5: pics galore.
Minor update from today. Got a pressure tester so I could hunt down leaks in the charge pipe going to the engine had to tighten up one clamp on the intercooler and the block off plate I had made for the intake temp sensor was leaking pretty bad. Oh and of course my turbo was leaking quite a bit too ...

Re: Kevin's 90Q: stg 2.5
Alright so here goes, the building of stage 2.5. After overheating the car back in June, I decided a major revision was needed. While the setup I had worked decently, the engine bay was a cluttered mess and was far from ideal. So, first order of business was to remove the battery from the engine bay ...

Re: Kevin's 90Q: stg 2.5
Alright, well after looking at the damage in the light of day it really isn't that bad. So onward the project goes. Been battling a head cold for the past few days so that is the reason for my lagging in updates. So back to Stg. 2.0, I have to say I had a lot of fun with the car in this setup. Even ...

Re: Kevin's 90Q: stg 2.5
Well....... The 90 got ran into tonight. Nothing debilitating, but there's a 3" deep dent in the drivers rear quarter panel and most of the drivers side is scraped up pretty good. There's a 90Q in the local jy so I should be able to get new body panels. Any one know how hard it is replace the rear ...

Here's some pics from the building of stage 2.0.
Modded AAN downpipe, just cut the bottom off where it split and welded on a 90. Needs reworking though cause it scrapes on large bumps.

Kevin's 90Q: Boost still low
Hey all, name's Kevin,
I wanted to start a new project thread for my 90Q... er.... what use to be a 90Q that is. I had a thread over on mg, but it felt like it was starting to wander so just wanted to restart and concentrate my thread a bit.
Bought the car about five years ago now, I was sixteen ...

Just wanted to say thanks for the call Hank, really appreciate it and glad that everything got straightened out so fast. Sucks that all that happened with the emailing, definitely understandable though.
