Awesome progress.
How will you figure out what exactly is required to get past the no start issue with regards to what interior modules you need?

You get stuff done quickly, Brian.
Nice work. Will follow intently, loved the old vr6 build thread (and a4 before that).

Can you provide any logs or data for boost profiles in 3rd or 4th gear, Jim?

Thanks, Jim.
Yeah, i know it's not ideal, but for sake of ease i think i can live with it.
Ultimately, I'd like to utilise the flex fuel capabilities of a standalone ECU, but my fear is that once I've tried e85 (or any significant partial ethanol blend), i'll be so unhappy with the performance on ...

Best 550whp 07K turbo?
Unfortunately, e85 is a pain to get where I am. Its about 30mins each way, so I'll be forced to run 93oct + water meth.
Ideally I'd like to make north of 500whp with the 07K utilising the aforementioned fuel.

Re: Basic 07K Facts?
Since a 1.8t flywheel will work on the 07k, are we able to use a '240mm' flywheel designed for converting 1.8t cars to 240mm?
Same 6 bolt flywheel bolt pattern, then we have the ability to use 240mm clutch kits with the 01E?

Hi Jim,
Can you elaborate a little more on what happened with your thrust washer?
Did it spin around from the clutch engaging and munch the crank?
Great build!

PAR 01E custom gearset
Hi guys,
going a different direction with my build.
i waited almost 8 months for this to be built. it is brand new, never used. it is only the 1st and 2nd style set.
i stuck with synchroniser, custom ratios of 2.92 and 1.89 (i think, can confirm shortly) with straight cut gears.

Figured an update might be worthy.
Never did get around to putting an 07K in that car.
Unfortunately 07K never came to Australia, so i would have had to import one then go through the ringer getting it mod-plated to get registration.
I ended up getting some K24/RS6 turbos from Sean, throwing ...

Got some more done today. Re-fitted the headliner, took the carpet out (shit job) and really got to see what needs to be done. I'll be getting my floor pan tomorrow, then will need to trim it up and mark the floor and get some cutting done.

Yeah guys, they are the same as B5 RS4 seats. My friend who lives one street over has one, RS4 just have Alcantara inserts in the middle of the seats.
Haha, yeah Nick, I am down under. I actually sold the seats and am dropping them off this morning.
