Re: Loxxrider's 200 20v: engine going back in

I have now decided that its getting turbo'd after the Audi gets "finished". HX52 on the Audi leaves me with the H1C for the 530i.

I knew it wouldn't be long before this, lol. You know the exhaust pluming would suck for just a single H1C, wouldn't it be so much easier to have twin H1Cs! :woowoo:
I ...

Re: Loxxrider's 200 20v: impending Holset

I'm just not sure if I will be able to keep A/C with the turbo, I definitely want to try though. I almost bout a manifold gauge set and a vacuum pump from Harbor Freight a little while ago for like ~150. I'm running out of big things to buy for the turbo, so I'm quite interested in A/C. I just need ...

Re: Loxxrider's 200 20v: impending Holset

Wow good find on the head studs. Mine just came today and I spent about twice that :x . But ARP doesn't make them for my car so only a couple places sell modified mini cooper studs that fit.

Re: Loxxrider's 200 20v: impending Holset

Yeah well definitely have to coordinate something. I should be home just about every weekend working on it till its done.

Thats two things I want to do to my car also. All my brake lines look old and who knows when the last time the fluid was changed. And my car could definitely use a suspension ...

Re: Loxxrider's 200 20v: impending Holset

Not much is new, still just been saving money and collecting parts, just ordered head studs today, which leaves intercooler/piping, exhaust manifold parts and small stuff, a LOT of small stuff, left. Though I have been waiting for my online class to end (The final is next week) so I can finally get ...

Awesome, sounds like a plan.

Where are you getting your custom cnc'd flange from? I'm probably gonna need some custom cnc action (laser or plasma) on my manifold adapter thing when I make it.

After messing with it last time with you, I think the problem could be in the R12-to-R134a low side adapter. I believe there is like three types of adapters. Some you have to remove the original schrader valve. Maybe that's the kind you have and why it won't take a charge.

I'm not sure, about that and here is my experience which is very limited. This last spring one of my cylinders wasn't firing because of bent intake valves and was just dumping raw fuel/Air into the exhaust. The O2 was reading rich like 10:1. Unknowing of that condition we tried all we could do to ...

From what I understand, a misfire, backfire, or anything else that sends unburnt fuel and air through the exhaust can cause a false lean reading. The unburnt air causes a higher oxygen content in the exhaust which the O2 sensor picks up. Even though the air and fuel may still be in the perfect ratio ...

That's great to hear that you got VEMS figured out and working properly.
